"The show was absolutely amazing. I’ve been listening to NIN since I was born, no joke, and had been itching to see them live. This was my first NIN show, since it’d been a while since they were in Michigan, and I went with my dad who’d seen them many times, starting all the way back in the 90s when they only had Pretty Hate Machine released. I was sat pretty high up but i still got a great view. I have the tour hoodie, and my sister has the tee-shirt, and my dad sported one of his shirts from earlier NIN concerts. I cried during Hurt, like many others, and lost my voice screaming along. Year Zero has always been my favorite album as it was the first i was introduced to and I also am very well versed in its ARG - i focused on it very intensely my first years of highschool and it allowed me to escape from my horrible mental state - so hearing Vessel live was absolutely amazing. The show was extremely emotional for me as NIN has been with me my entire life and has helped me with so many struggling times."

"I first started listening to them in the 90's when I saw the video for Head like a hole on MTV. I was completely mesmerized by what I saw and heard, just stood there in front of the TV in awe, unaware of my surroundings. Soaking up the darkness, the motions, the industrial sound that was new to me. I was 14 years old and totally smitten. I first saw them in concert I believe in 1994 with Marilyn Manson and Hole. I've seen them at least 4 times, maybe 5. Other bands come and go but NIN is the only band I have consistently listened to since the 90's."

I had seen NIN five times prior to the Peel It Back Tour, all the way back to 1994 at Pine Knob Music Theater directly in front of the speakers... literally blew me away. Fast forward to 2009 when I had the opportunity to photograph their tour stop at Pine Knob (again) with Jane's Addiction. This was the highlight of my concert photography career up to that point, and pretty much remains to this day. All this to say that everything prior to this tour was just the opening acts to the truly religious experience of 30+ years later hearing and seeing Trent & Co. at their utmost best. The atmosphere, the visuals, the aural orgasm of sound throughout the entire show has cemented these 2 shows (Detroit, MI and Grand Rapids, MI) as the best shows I've ever experienced. And, the icing on the cake, experiencing them both with my 26 year old son, Noah, who having grown up hearing NIN thru his old man was truly able to appreciate every... single... song... and detail. He even admitted, 'Best. Concerts. Ever!' Thank you, Trent, for everything from Day 1 thru today, and for whatever may develop in the future."

"I made a connection with Nine Inch Nails in the early 90’s as a young child. As an artist, Nine Inch Nails has had a massive impact and influence on my personal artistic journey. I listened while I painted and felt a profound connection to a space where visual art and music complement each other. I could see the noise and translate it into something visually interesting. At 39 years old, having never been to a NIN show I finally made it to the Peel It Back Tour. This tour has been so special and important to me. It was not only personal because of a lifelong connection, but was the best live, immersive art exhibition I have ever experienced. I am sentimental and it was an emotional experience to see Nine Inch Nails live. I was blown away by stage B with Boys Noize. The Perfect Drug, I’m Afraid of American's, Reptile, Gave up and Wish were personal favorites. The visual production was immaculate and I loved the projections and use of light perfectly paired with every song. The design and production was excellent. Every detail down to the merch is so thoughtful. I will never forget the experience of this tour and am so grateful."

"I must say these were the most beautiful experiences of my life. I’ve been a huge fan for many many years and these were my first times seeing NIN. The first time coming about 3 months after my little brother had passed (who loved NIN). It was the first time I had exited the house since that day. The emotion that hit me when Trent came out, couldn’t be put into words. Truly the biggest helping hand in keeping me here. Went home with a shirt, a smile, and a fire for life that was relit. Thanks!"

"I'm a new fan, I only started really listening to NIN in March of last year. Once I listened to The Fragile, I knew this band was going to become something very special to me. That album helped me through a lot. The music of NIN puts a lot of feelings I struggle with into words so precisely, in a way I have never encountered with another band. When I found out they were going to be in my state, I knew that I wanted to be there, but I wasn't sure I would be able to go. When my parents told me they worked the money stuff out and were actually going to buy tickets, I was thrilled!! (If my parents happen to be reading this: THANK YOU AGAIN!! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!) We got two tickets, one for me, and one for my dad (who listened to NIN, when he was around my age :) ).
The concert itself felt almost unreal. Right Where it Belongs and Ruiner were beautiful (I love both of those songs a lot) but I think my favorite song on the setlist was Reptile. When I heard the opening notes I freaked out!! In the weeks leading up to the concert I had been looking at the setlists of every new show to see if I had a chance to see that song live, so being able to hear it at my show made me OVERJOYED. That song is OTHERWORDLY in a live setting. And also, the B-Stage section with Boys Noize was insanely cool! Really, the energy of the entire concert was incredible!!! And Josh's drumming on The Perfect Drug basically made him my favorite drummer right there.
Head Like A Hole was also a big highlight for me because I just felt so connected to everything around me. I think that's the loudest I have ever sung anything, ever. Dancing around and screaming my heart out with all of these strangers, brought together by this one thing with no worries at all about being judged, was probably the best thing I felt all year. It felt like true freedom to me. And the fact that my dad was next to me singing along too made it even better. I'm very happy that I got to share this whole experience with him :). Hurt was another highlight for very similar reasons, though the atmosphere during that song felt a lot more emotional and surreal. After Hurt ended and the curtain came down, It was hard to believe it was over, but at the same time, it was almost hard to believe it happened at all. It felt like a dream, and it still does. Every time I think about this concert, I think, ''I was there! I actually got to be there!!!''. I am INCREDIBLY lucky to have been able to see this band in concert, especially a band consisting of musicians who I really respect and admire individually, who have inspired me a lot since I have become a fan (and my favorite lineup! <3). I hope that someday in the future I will be able to see NIN again. Since going to this show, I have only become a bigger fan as I continue to grow with the music. THANK YOU NINE INCH NAILS!!! And thank you to whoever runs this project for creating a space where so many fans can pour their hearts out about their experiences. That means a lot! <3"
