NINE INCH NAILS

Stories

"NIN took over my head a couple years ago when I heard them on the radio. Back then I felt as though I had this fundamental difference offsetting me from just about everyone I knew. Nine Inch Nails kind of became my escape from that. I gave my mom—who was somewhat dissaproving of my listening to NIN—a carefully crafted presentation on why we should see them in Pheonix, and somehow it WORKED. That show was the highlight of my year. It was cathartic and insane.

The Vegas show was no different. But in both concerts, I remember one capsule of a moment in particular: the audience’s collective voice as they sang the word 'dirt' (for some reason.) You could hear that thousands of people knew the lyrics to Hurt. I remember thinking: 'Everyone in this crowd is reliving a different memory tonight, but they’re all coming together in this huge, collective appreciation...' Rarely ever do I feel part of something bigger than myself like that.

I simply can’t express how much NIN means to me, nor how lucky I was to see them twice. The Peel It Back tour is legendary."

"I’m 52 yrs old…been a fan since I first heard Closer, back in 1994. Then I went back to the previous albums and just loved it all. I’m not a 'goth' type or an angry person…but something about it just got to me. I love music that it loud and raw, with deep bass and haunting melodies that is able to penetrate the body and just roll around inside, making you feel all of it. That is EXACTLY what NIN is for me…and I love it all. I’ve always wanted to see NIN in concert, but just never had. Then when the 2025 Peel It Back Tour started, I’ve been following along on YouTube and wanted to go…either Brooklyn NY or Los Angeles CA. I live in Las Vegas. Couldn’t make either one of them work for my schedule, but when it was announced in Sept last year about a few more months of tours in 2026, I felt it was fate…giving me one more chance. The day tickets went on sale for the Las Vegas stop, I bought mine right then!!! Show was Saturday night 03/07/26…wow. The most amazing experience. Literally life changing. I’ve watched so many concert videos from last year, but NOTHING compares to seeing it, FEELING IT, live in person! I’m still on this NIN high and so grateful that after 30+ yrs, I finally got to experience them in person."

"My first show was ‘91? Lollapalooza. Been to many of their shows. Brought my son, his wife, and her mom. My son is 32 and his first NIN show was in utero in ‘94. Type O Negative opened. I hadn’t seen them since their small venue tour in 2005. This show reminded me why they were, and always will be, my favorite."

"This really was the greatest tour there ever was. Both UK shows were incredible and seeing it all for the first time completely blew me away. I had the most special two days with my best friends and it was just perfect.

This year I finally came over to the US and did Columbus and Vegas and I can’t put into words what this has meant to me. The people at these shows have given me my most treasured memories and the whole experience has changed me forever. So many wonderful things happened at these two shows, NIN was a huge part of that but ultimately it’s about the connections I’ve made through my favourite band. I have had the worst few years imaginable and these shows and the people at them have healed my heart in ways I couldn’t have ever imagined."

"I first became aware of NIN on MTV with the video Closer when I believe I was about 24 years old. I’m 55 now and I finally saw them live. It was one of the best nights in my life so I had to fly out of state to see it again on this tour . that first night in Portland everything was perfect. I felt like I was in an art installation. I almost felt high, but I was definitely not on anything, but it was so good. It just took me out of the cares of the world and everything was right for 2 1/2 hours, it was amazing to watch performers that are just so good at what they’re doing and still like doing it. I had never seen Josh Freese before he absolutely blew my mind and when it came to introducing him, it was clear the audience felt the same way I mean, we just roared. I couldn’t stop talking about it for weeks and it was just a pleasure to be online and see that everyone else felt the same."

"I'm a relatively new fan, but NIN's music changed my life when I heard it. I was resigned to never seeing them live based on older fans' assertions that they were done touring, so it felt like such a gift when Peel It Back was announced and I decided to go to as many shows as I could. My first show was Manchester; the first song I heard live was A Minute to Breathe, followed by That's What I Get. I feel so lucky to have been at that show, even if I didn't really realize its significance until afterwards. At the start of the tour I didn't know anyone, I'd never met another NIN fan in real time, and I was too shy to talk to anyone. Now, at the end of the tour, I have NIN friends in multiple countries, many of whom I got to spend my final show of the tour with. NIN's music means so much to me, but now I also have NIN to thank for the experiences that went along with the tour."
