Stories

"This was my first time seeing Nine Inch Nails. I’ve been listening to them since I was 13 and they’re my favorite band of all time. Nine Inch Nails has helped me get through the toughest parts of my life. This concert was so important to me, and being able to go was a privilege. I feel so lucky. It was a life changing moment. I felt every past version of myself experiencing it."

"This was probably my 5th and 6th concert ever. I caught the Detroit show first in August with my brother. We are both huge fans and the two concerts we caught (Detroit and Grand Rapids) really helped us bond on a deeper level. The first show was incredible. I underestimated just how much detail goes into each show with the setlist, the switching between two stages, and the light show. We were in the pit in Detroit so it was a blast to jump around when they played songs like March of the pigs, wish, gave up, head like a hole. The second time in Grand Rapids I got a balcony ticket (cause I spend way too much on pit tickets last time), but it was still great to watch from above. Overall, these two shows will be the benchmark which I compare all future concerts to in the future. Couldn’t recommend enough."

"This was my first big concert, and boy was it worth it. I've been a fan for a few years now. No other artist has ever clicked with me quite like them; everything about them strikes an emotional core with me. When my online friend offered to take me to see them live, I knew I had to take it. I never felt so alive as I did that night, like my very soul was on fire. I saw my idol, my hero that night, and I cried a little when I saw him. Cried again when it ended, a bittersweet goodbye. If I could go again, I'd take it in a heartbeat. I had the best night of my life. My favorite part was his little stickbug dance in Copy Of A, lmao."

"I sat in a wheelchair watching the sea of people below, I saw a girl maybe in her early twenties dancing around. Remembering being that young when NIN filtered through my best friends 89 mustang convertible with a rawness of passion and angst I've never heard before. Each song transporting me back to milestones over my life that NIN played a apart in. Songs that told my teenage self you werent alone, that had us embracing how fucked up we became but simply said together we will make it through somehow. When Mr. Self destruct came on and I was that young girl again, remembering the first time I saw NIN back in 94 in a small theatre in Chicago. This was my 17th time seeing them over the years. Sunday was a walk with an old friend through a life of triumphs and sorrows. It healed my heart and filled my soul again. Something I didn't know I needed until the last word of hurt was sung. No words of gratitude would ever be enough for how much this band has meant to me. So a simple thank you will have to do."

"I ended up seeing NIN on the PiB tour twice, once on each leg of the North American tour. I saw them first in Detroit at the Little Caesars Arena, and was astounded by the stage production and quality of performance more than ever before (having seen them twice before). Reptile and AAAYNMTB stuck with me in particular. In Grand Rapids the following year, I got front row for the B-stage in the pit, and the performance knocked my socks off, for a lack of a better phrase. Ruiner was a pleasant surprise despite seeing it before. I love this band, and I love this tour so dearly. I wish it didn’t have to end :("

"Me and my partner went to both Michigan shows - NIN is the one band I will spare no expense on, because with Trent I can trust he’s ALWAYS bringing that same attitude. We were in the pit both times and loved seeing the range of ages around us, all seeking that same catharsis that NIN brings. Trent has been a guiding light and a role model, for me as a person and as an artist (GLOOMCO.) These were my 8th and 9th shows, and I certainly hope there are still many more to come. Trent, thank you for continuing to do what you do."
